Partners & Funders

We are grateful for all the volunteers who make Science Feedback’s work possible as well as the individuals and organizations who are contributing to support its continuous development. Funders have no editorial influence over Science Feedback’s work.

Science Feedback is a not-for-profit organization registered in France. It owns a subsidiary company (SciVerify) that conducts commercial partnerships with platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and TikTok.

Below is a list of all revenue sources we had since 2015 that accounted for at least 1% of Science Feedback’s yearly revenues, a list of individual donors and more details on our budget.


Meta Third Party Fact Checking program

Since 2019, Science Feedback has been partnering with Meta to verify the credibility of viral content on Facebook and Instagram as part of the third-party fact-checking initiative. Learn more.


TikTok Safety Partners

Since 2020, Science Feedback has been partnering with TikTok as part of the Safety Partners’ program to help review and assess viral videos that potentially contain false, misleading or harmful information. We review videos mostly on health issues in the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian. Learn more about the program.


Poynter Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network

Science Feedback was the recipient of an IFCN Development Grant in 2020/21, an IFCN Climate Misinformation Grant Program in 2022/23 and a grant from the Global Fact Check Fund program in 2024.


The University of California Merced

Climate Feedback was supported by the Center for Climate Communication at UC Merced between 2015 and 2017.


Ashoka

Science Feedback’s founder Emmanuel Vincent was supported by Ashoka between 2019 and 2022. “Ashoka Fellows are the world’s leading social entrepreneurs. They champion innovative new ideas that transform society’s systems.


European Media and Information Fund

In 2022, Science Feedback received a grant from the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF) to explore ways to assess the credibility of news sources at scale.


European Commission

In 2023, Science Feedback contributed to the NODES project, which developed a mechanism to analyze and monitor the spread of disinformation narratives. This project has received funding from the European Commission under grant agreement CNECT/2022/5162608.

In 2024, Science Feedback contributed to the FactCRICIS project, which aims to improve the capacities of European fact-checking organisations to tackle crisis situations.


IFCN / Google News Initiative

In 2020, Science Feedback was awarded seed funding from the Google News Initiative to build a database of fact-checked content, allowing to identify sources that repeatedly spread misinformation. See Open Feedback


The Bright Initiative powered by Bright Data

Since 2024, the Bright Initiative powered by Bright Data is providing Science Feedback with an access to its platform to help power our analyses and investigations.


Roland Berger

Provided pro-bono work in 2019 to develop Science Feedback business plan and fundraising.
