Tech.Rocks Summit 2025: Using AI to detect climate disinformation in audiovisual media
Eva Morel, Secretary General of QuotaClimat, and Emmanuel Vincent, Founder and Executive Director of Science Feedback, took the stage at Tech.Rocks Summit 2025 to present the AI tool developed within the Climate Safeguards project.
The international technology conference, which brings together startups, scaleups, investors, and corporate leaders, focused this year on the theme “AI: from hype to reality.” The programme highlighted concrete, real-world applications of generative artificial intelligence and its impact on technology strategies and leadership.
At the summit, Morel and Vincent demonstrated how Climate Safeguards uses AI to detect climate misinformation by analysing large volumes of media content. Their presentation showed how these tools can help identify disinformation patterns and support more trustworthy information ecosystems—an approach closely aligned with the event’s emphasis on practical, impact-driven uses of AI.
