Reverse transcription is a process by which RNA can be used as a template to produce DNA. It is mediated by an enzyme known as reverse transcriptase. In theory, while mRNA in vaccines can be converted into DNA by reverse transcription, there’s no scientific evidence demonstrating that this process occurs in people or that it leads to DNA integration in the genome.
