Science Feedback at the ‘Assises du journalisme de Tours’: Tackling Health, Climate, and Science Disinformation

Posted on:

Health, climate, and science information have become prime targets for disinformation strategies across media and social networks. On April 8, 2026 Emmanuel Vincent, founder and Executive Director of Science Feedback, will co-lead a workshop at the Assises du journalisme de Tours to address this critical challenge.

The Assises du journalisme de Tours is a major annual conference that brings together journalists, media professionals, and experts to discuss the future of journalism and address current challenges facing the profession.

Titled “Santé, climat, sciences : comment lutter contre la désinformation” (Health, Climate, Sciences: How to Fight Disinformation), this session –co-hosted with Claire Peltier (ESJ PRO Médias)– will provide journalists with the keys to:

  • Identify the mechanisms behind the “manufacturing of doubt”
  • Deconstruct misleading narratives through concrete case studies
  • Develop essential verification reflexes in the face of complex facts and the virality of false claims

This workshop builds on Science Feedback’s expertise in improving the credibility of science-related information online. By equipping media professionals with practical tools, the session aims to strengthen resilience against disinformation in high-stakes areas like health and climate science.
